Philosophy & Vision
In my private practice I aim to provide best-practice, evidence-based treatments, and to provide them at reasonable prices. I provide treatment for clients referred under Medicare and to obtain a Medicare rebate, you simply need a referral from your GP.
While the range of clinical issues is diverse, I have a special interest in the anxiety disorders - workplace issues, panic disorder and panic attacks, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and stress management in general.
Background
As well as private practice, I have previously worked within Mental Health Services (DHHS, TAS) in the prison and community Forensic Mental Health Service team. My work involved clients with complex issues (not just mental health issues) and close interaction with other service providers, non-government organsations and clients' family and supports.
Court reports and risk assessments have been a large focus of my work. Prior to that I worked at The Hobart Clinic, a private psychiatric hospital.
