Philosophy & Vision
I work with clients who are interested in working with their individuation process and developing their own consciousness. They may feel stuck and unable to move forward to create the life that they would like to lead, or they may not even know what to do, they feel hopeless and want to feel connected to life and nature. It is always a process of becoming, surrendering to something higher, the gift of compassion to develop into a fully individuated individual through key developmental stages of life. Through kindness a bridge is woven from loss, grief, hopelessness and despair to receptivity to 8 graces - forgiveness, patience, courage, unconditional love, willingness, gratitude, spiritual humour, and humility.
Background
For two years I provided therapeutic treatments in a transitional house for men who had been released from prison and researched the effects of person-centred counselling, deep listening, non-judgment witnessing with acupressure on these men who wanted this intervention in their recovery programme. The results showed there was wisdom in this approach.
I offered therapeutic circle work and art therapy in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre in Rozelle and recorded the outcomes. Ninety per cent of the circle group reported positive outcomes. The results have revealed that men who come from traumatic circumstances benefit greatly from counselling and healing work. It gave them reprieve from negativity.

Arnold Mindell process-oriented psychology has influenced my approach as well as circle work. Family constellations and trauma work have also contributed to my development professionally and personally, as well as the individuation process and human development according to Rudolf Steiner. The development of a non-judgemental attitude and compassion and the development of deep listening and surrender to forgiveness and gratitude are foundational in my professional and personal development.

Therapy has helped me to understand that it is a creative process between the therapist, the client and a bigger field of wisdom. I experience joy and peace and happiness having come from a history of violence.

A work of art that inspires me is a painting I have on the wall in the lounge. It is a dot art painting. When I look at it, it changes my understanding in a moment as it holds so much meaning and knowledge and consciousness, the whole universe in a single painting. I feel my relationship with the world and the universe and it takes me out of self-limiting identification into the inter-connection between nature, spirit and the cosmos.
