Philosophy & Vision
Counselling and psychotherapy provide a safe and supportive environment in which to explore problematic issues; evolve strategies; review options to meet personal goals and live a more rewarding life. Corinne supports clients from a strength-based perspective , using a 'person centred' approach that views all individuals as self-striving to find meaning and fulfilment in the world, with a capacity for creativity, growth and choice.
Background
I have worked for a number of years as a counsellor/psychotherapist in organisations and private practice. In the past I also practiced as a contractor to an International Employment Assistance (EAP) provider offering counselling and psychotherapy to employees under their workplace programs. I currently still work in the area of mental health policy, human rights and research for a NSW mental health peak body. I have authored a number of papers and publications.
Services
1. Short or long-term counselling and psychotherapy for individuals, including adolescents.
2. Supervision for counsellors, psychotherapists and students.
3. Employee Assistance Programs (EAP )
Quality Provision
My practice embodies ongoing commitment to self- monitoring, self-awareness, professional development and supervision. Fundamental to this, is ongoing critical analysis in relation to interactions between myself and the client. I regard clients as the experts in their own lives and seek to assist them in recognising their own coping abilities and inherent strengths.

Therapy Approach
Rather than using a single theoretical modality, my approach is informed by a range of theoretical approaches, skills and modes of practice which consciously use the client / counsellor relationship. This facilitates un-judgemental guidance and encouragement, to challenge and provide the inspiration to creatively manage and resolve practical, personal and relationship issues. This may include skill enhancement involving cognitive behavioural skills with the aim of empowering a client towards self-determination with an emphasis on their strengths.
