Philosophy & Vision
I am a practising psychologist with over 40 years experience. This wonderful journey has given me the opportunity to grow as a human and to develop ways to live that allow for more love and peace of mind to flourish. I have experienced and had to face most of the challenges my clients bring - loneliness, low self worth, cancer, depression, anxiety, guilt and shame, grief and loss - and to search out the right support, and find the way forward. All this I now bring to my work.
Background
I was born in England and came to Sydney, Australia with my parents when I was 7 years old. I returned to England in my 20's and lived and studied there before moving with my then husband to Mexico where I spent the following 10 years. In Mexico I completed my Master's degree and studied with the superb psychoanalytic professors, who had to flee Argentina because of political unrest.
I have run training for front line responders to sexually abused children, co-facilitated workshops with Petrea King at Quest for Life, facilitated workshops in Cancer Survivorship with Cancer Council, and seen many hundreds of clients from all walks of life.
Services
Firstly, I work with women looking for support and guidance because you or someone dear to you, has experienced one of what Petrea King calls 'life's D's': disease, divorce, death, depression, distress, etc.
Or, because you are growing older, you want o explore how to live each day with more fulfilment and contentment, to cherish your life more, and want help to make that happen.
