Philosophy & Vision
I work in a manner that appeals to those looking to curiously explore who they are and gain insight into why their mental emotional condition is that it is. My focus often is on gaining first understanding of the self, easing up the self-judgment before working deeply to facilitate an acceptance of the self. Much of who we are is in our subconscious and freedom is gained after it is brought to light and released.
My special interests are assisting spiritual development in young adults.
Background
I have experience from work in community settings as well as working presently full time in a clinical psychological setting. I have experience working across the lifespan although choose to focus on individuals ranging from teenagers to forty years of age where I'm highly effective.
I supplement ongoing psychological study with increasingly in depth knowledge of various spiritual schools of knowledge from across the globe including traditional, New Age and esoteric philosophies and bodies of work.
Services
Many individuals refer in to work purposefully on an acute issue but often after discovering a holistic way to conceptualise the issue and their identity, they commence a deeper exploration of themselves. Typically, this is done once a healthy attitude of curiosity is developed. Once the acceptance of thoughts, emotions and impulses (displacing self-judgement) is experienced externally and normalised, the healthy and more balanced attitude of self acceptance is internalised. It's becoming increasingly common that a weekly or fortnightly schedule long term is settled into after the experience of the creation of safe space to explore the self is had.

Therapy Approach
I work primarily using a psychodynamic approach which examines the influence of unnoticed psychological processes that happen below the conscious levels of awareness that keep thoughts and behaviours in play. Once one gains an awareness of those more hidden processes, they can come to accept and integrate them. There is often a rapid improvement with the relationship to oneself and thus the freeing of the self to work to create change and psychologically healthier ways of being.
I primarily focus on improving one's relationship to the self, through philosophies around self knowledge, self acceptance and self forgiveness.
Work is generally intensive starting off as weekly and can transition to fortnightly when appropriate.
