Therapy Approach
I will help you develop strategies for reducing and relieving symptoms of commonly presenting problems such as depression and anxiety. In this regard, cognitive-behavioural and mindfulness-based approaches are helpful in equipping you with strategies for soothing difficult feelings, as well as identifying and changing patterns of thinking that contribute to distress and problematic behaviours.
I also welcome the opportunity to work with you on a deeper level to explore the role of unconscious processes, early family-of-origin experiences and other historical factors that have shaped you, and contributed to your current difficulties.
