I am an Accredited Mental Health Social worker with over 15 years experience in various roles with Children and Adolescents
Background
Paula has worked with children, adolescents and families for over 15 years in a variety services and roles from Child care, Department of Juvenile Justice, Hospital Social Work (Palliative Care, ICU, Renal and Coronary) and Youth and Family counselling.
In the four years of her clinical experience she has supported disadvantaged youth and their families with complex mental health issues. She completed a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy which has allowed her to learn a variety modalities and skills to work with a range of mental health presentations and to support people experiencing different life challenges.

Paula is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). This requires her to adhere to the AASW Code of Ethics and to undertake regular professional training and supervision and uphold the three core principles: respect for persons, social justice and professional integrity.

Therapy Approach
Through therapy using a trauma informed approach, we can explore different aspects of 'self' as we look at the interconnection between biological, psychological and social factors to gain a deeper understanding, alongside therapeutic models that will give you the opportunity to learn new strategies, coping skills, feel heard and supported in your journey.
Paula has completed training in DBT skills and regularly draws on skills and techniques that can be applied across a range of challenges.
