Philosophy & Vision

I typically work with people who have not had a positive result from engaging in traditional therapies and models. From a perspective formed from over two decades of front-line mental health nursing, I believe that not one shoe fits all and offer a genuinely individual-to-you hybrid style of support that focuses on you and your desired outcome.

This support comes complete with a holistic viewpoint, embracing sensible decisions to improve your health globally, not just from a mental health perspective. If you are looking for someone a little bit different from traditional therapists, someone who has done the hard yards themselves and 'gets it'—then I would love to explore how I can help you.

Background

Prior to entering into private practice, I completed my nurse training in the UK and went on to specialise in Forensic nursing before moving into general adult acute care and community case management.

I have since worked across many settings, including community, prison mental health and court liaison with the highlight of my career being a Co-Responder with emergency services helping people in crisis when they need it most.

Private practice was a conscious decision to work with people who fall through the cracks, those that find mainstream services either unavailable or simply not for them. Since starting I have worked with diverse and wonderful human beings both privately and through NDIS.
