Philosophy & Vision
Michelle's work is informed and influenced by Psychodynamic, Narrative and Mindfulness theories. She has a passionate interest in how our life experiences influence our behaviour and our relationships in the here and now, dealing with issues such as trauma, anxiety and depression, to give clients therapeutic strategies that assist to integrate their profound life experiences.
Background
I have been in the health industry for over 35 years, as a Registered Nurse working in diverse fields such as ICU for over fifteen years, Paediatrics, Drug and Alcohol, Mental Health and Health Management. And now as a Registered Counsellor and Clinical Psychotherapist. My work has been enriched by many disciplines including mental health, palliative care, mediation, management, grief, anxiety and depression, drug and alcohol addiction, death and bereavement, suicide and self harm along with many other life challenging issues.

Michelle uses a range of techniques and approaches such as Narrative, Psychodynamic and Mindfulness, to build a therapeutic relationship and create a welcoming and safe environment.
Michelle believes that the client is the expert on their lives and ways of being, and works together with the client to seek and develop integration, healing and achievement of client goals for coming to see a therapist. She also feels it is an honour and a privilege to witness a clients journey and the resilience of the human spirit.
