Therapy Approach
I primarily practice from a psychodynamic-informed perspective. This approach aims to help people explore and make sense of their experiences, in view of supporting lasting and meaningful change. Sessions involve working together towards a deeper understanding of a person's thoughts, feelings, patterns of behaviour and ways of relating. This can help us understand how the past may be contributing to current ways of being and difficulties in your present life, in turn creating opportunity for new ways of engaging, relief from symptoms, and a greater sense of connection to oneself and others. As suitable, I also draw upon additional treatment approaches such as ACT, CBT or mindfulness based techniques in my work with clients.
