Philosophy & Vision
You may feel anxious, depressed, experience recurrent unhelpful relationship patterns, have a pervasive sense of discontent or just feel stuck.
I can help you understand the history of your problems and learn healthier ways to relate to yourself and others. Whether you are dealing with unresolved trauma, need help setting boundaries in relationships, feel you don't quite belong, are underachieving, or cannot enjoy your successes, I will help you find solutions to your immediate issues, while also exploring how your previous experiences affect your responses, relationships and self-perception.
Background
I commenced working as psychotherapist in 1989 as a Somatic Psychotherapist, later completing studies in Psychology followed by Post-Graduate Training in the Conversational Model of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. I have worked in Private Practice and Public & Private Mental health settings, as a Child and Adult Sexual Assault Counsellor, as a Perinatal-Infant-Child and Family Practitioner, a Relationship Counsellor, and a Trauma Informed Individual and Group Therapist. I am also a Facilitator of the Circle of Security Parenting Program.

I provide Counselling, and Psychotherapy for Individual women, men, and young people. I offer Circle of Security Parenting support for individuals and couples. I offer couples counselling in Penrith.

As a psychologist and a clinical member of ANZAP and IARPP, I abide by a strict code of ethics. I also engage in regular professional development and professional supervision.

Therapy Approach
My work is informed by The Conversational Model of Psychotherapy. I also use CBT, Attachment informed Couples and Family Therapy, Neurobiology, Self Psychology, and other modalities as appropriate to clients' needs. I am also interested in the role of creativity in achieving a sense of well-being, connection and healing.
