Philosophy & Vision
My overarching aim is to help people get back in the driver's seat of their own life. I aim to create a safe and compassionate environment where you can be real about the struggles you experience and together we can build a plan to help to stabilise and build positive mental health and wellbeing. I am keen to find what methods are most useful to my clients. I draw upon CBT, ACT, DBT, mindfulness, self compassion therapy, neuroscience, attachment theory, polyvagal theory, a variety of trauma related therapies including EMDR, somatic experiencing and sensorimotor psychotherapy, parts work including IFS, and Voice Dialogue. I originally trained in Emotional Release Therapy and Art Therapy.

It can take a number of sessions for a client to start to feel different but I like to encourage people to take small steps towards their goals usually from the first session.
-
I am always learning and ever curious about the human condition, human experience and resilience. My work inspires me to be more intentional in my own life and to treat myself with love and compassion.
-
Facilitating change, watching someone become the person they were meant to be. Bearing witness to what unfolds when some of the barriers to expression, confidence and self worth are removed.
