Philosophy & Vision
Jess is a compassionate and qualified counsellor dedicated to supporting women at various stages of life, from young adulthood and beyond. With a special focus on the challenges that come with pregnancy, parenthood, and relationship transitions, Jess creates a safe, non-judgmental space where women can explore their emotions, experiences, and family dynamics.
As a Christian counsellor, Jess is uniquely equipped to integrate faith-based perspectives into her therapy sessions for those who seek it. She welcomes clients who desire a counsellor who understands the importance of spiritual beliefs in their counselling journey. In therapy, Jess encourages women to share openly and vulnerably, helping them move forward at their own pace.
Background
Before starting private practice, Jess began her career in youth work, supporting disengaged young people in transitioning to alternative education or the workforce. This experience sparked her passion for helping others. She then worked as a primary school chaplain across several schools in Queensland, where she deepened her love for one-on-one support. Motivated by this, Jess pursued a degree in counselling, developing a special interest in supporting women, particularly through the transition to motherhood. Jess values the privilege of sitting with clients and hearing their stories.
