A conversation with Jane Faulkner
-
My own journey, I was looking to heal my physical and personal issues. I kept getting stuck and didn't know what to do with my feelings when they came up so I decided to study Gestalt therapy. Also, I was a nurse and realised that many illnesses were linked to a person's thoughts and beliefs.

I am particularly interested in emotional health and resilience, as well as encouraging people to be brave and embrace the potential that lies within them.
-
Gestalt Therapy, horsemanship, buddhist philosophy, art therapy, mindfulness.

Every client is different, some clients feel progress after the first session. Most people have some insight's or things to work with, whether it is their first session or their 15th.
-
Working with people and being a therapist teach's me so much about myself, I learn something from everyone I work with, I also feel honoured to have the role I do.
-
I love connecting with people and being there when people have moments of insight and clarity.
-
All the time! We are all human, living, learning and loving.
-
I think a significant problem is that we are all so disconnected from ourselves, nature and one another. We have also forgotten how to breathe, relax and be, we make life so unnecessarily complex and forget that it is actually the simple things that nourish us.

I love the book Nurturing Resilience by Kathy Kain and Stephen Terrell
