Philosophy & Vision
I create a working relationship with you where you will feel safe and understood. It is within our relationship that we will examine your everyday experiences, your beliefs and feelings about yourself and others, entrenched patterns of behaving and relating to others, the ways you protect yourself from hurt, and the influence of your childhood experiences.
Background
I previously worked as a supervisor at an Australia wide private child and youth counselling organisation. This role involved facilitating and monitoring aspects of crisis response and case management and providing quality debriefing and supervision to therapists.
I previously worked in a range of psychology settings including a Brisbane Adult Mental Health Service, Mater Private Hospital where I provided psychological support to women with Breast Cancer, a private girls' school, New Farm Clinic where I facilitated Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and University Student Services where I provided disability and counselling support to students. I also hold a Lecturing position at Australian Catholic University.

Therapy Approach
I practice using self psychology. Self psychology is useful for people who are looking for a welcoming, nonjudgmental and empathic approach to treatment. This approach focuses on the person's experiences to gain a deeper understanding of the person within their own emotional world and how this plays out in their relationships and life in general.
