Philosophy & Vision
Exploring who you are, what's important to you and unpacking the experiences that have shaped you, can feel like a daunting task. Sometimes we can feel stuck - limited by things that have happened or the ways we've had to cope. However, with a therapist by your side who understands, respects and compassionately accepts all of you, the rewards of such a task are transformational. It is my privilege to collaborate with you in the process of making changes to a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
Background
Prior to my transition to private practice, I provided therapy through not-for-profit organisations, community centres, clinics and schools.
My focus throughout has been on the impacts of adverse childhood experiences(ACEs) and attachment wounds and exploring and treating the many different ways these experiences may manifest - as anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, guilt, numbness, addictive behaviours, enmeshed or conflictual relationships, insomnia and somatic symptoms.
Through a trauma-informed, person-centred and integrative approach I work with you to manage symptoms, release fears and tensions held by the brain and body and access the innate wisdom and healing capacity within each individual.
Services
I offer individual psychotherapy for adults.
Sessions are by appointment either online or in person.
Quality Provision
I attend regular clinical supervision and continuing professional development trainings. I also strengthen my practice through my own structured and unstructured learnings and readings. As a member of the Psychotherapist and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) I uphold the values of confidentiality, respect, autonomy and empowerment.

Therapy Approach
My practice is based on the fundamental belief that all humans have an innate capacity to heal and grow within the right environment.
The work we do together is a collaborative process - you are the expert in your life and bring with you unique insights, wisdom and strengths. My role is to provide a deep understanding of the impacts of trauma and skills and tools to address it.
The work we do is informed by attachment theory, psychodynamic therapy, somatic psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems and Narrative therapy amongst other modalities. I also integrate an understanding of the importance of limbic and autonomic nervous system regulation on our wellbeing and harness the processes of neuroplasticity to make impactful changes.
