Philosophy & Vision
My approach to therapy is rooted in ensuring that our time together results in tangible improvements and lasting wellness. I aim to help you cultivate greater personal resilience and forge meaningful connections, fostering lasting change.
Your comfort and support are paramount to me, as I believe therapy should be a place of ease, trust, and hope. I take a strong relational approach, recognising that healing often occurs within our connections.
Therapy is a courageous journey, and you won't have to navigate it alone. Here, you'll find a safe space to heal without judgment, with acceptance, sensitivity, and understanding guiding our work together.
Background
With over two decades of experience in the mental health field, I am a clinical psychotherapist with a rich background in psychology. My approach to healing is inclusive, blending traditional talk therapy with a body-centric view and insights into neurological trauma.
Before transitioning to private practice, I worked in community health and forensic settings, addressing family violence, addictions, and mental health. Later, I focused on trauma and gambling, supervising a counselling team and implementing various tools and theoretical frameworks for individual and group therapy.
I am committed to providing compassionate and effective psychological support, drawing on my diverse background and skill set to help clients navigate challenges
Services
My mission is to empower clients to navigate life's challenges and reach their full potential, regardless of age. I believe our experiences can enrich us as we grow older, and I work to use them to our advantage, creating positive change for current and future generations. I aim to build a collaborative relationship where I help you access your inner resources, empowering you to create or rebuild the life you desire.
Quality Provision
I adhere to the professional standards of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and the Australian Psychological Society (APS), which require regular supervision and ongoing professional development. I am deeply committed to continuous learning and growth, both personally and professionally, to ensure I provide the highest quality of care and support to my clients.
