Philosophy & Vision
We are all trying to do and be the best we can - sometimes we just need some help along the way. With over 22 years' experience in counselling and psychotherapy, and a philosophy guided by a deep empathy with my clients, my aim is to provide a place where you can safely explore and make sense of your life experiences and challenges. An understanding of yourself and the world; a feeling of wellbeing - this is what counselling is about.
Background
Initially I trained and worked in the field of Industrial Chemistry, however my curiosity about people and how people are shaped by cultural customs and traditions, led me to retrain as a Psychotherapist and Counsellor.
My diverse background - including travel to different countries and the roles of mother, grandmother and great grandmother; continues to inform and enrich my current work in psychotherapy and counselling.

Therapy Approach
My training in counselling and Somatic Psychotherapy has been influenced by Self-Psychology, Intersubjectivity Theory, and Attachment Theory.
At heart this means as a therapist I strive to understand my clients from their perspective and ensure they feel deeply understood. For me, each individual's therapy is different because each client and therapist is unique. I also draw on other approaches such as Object Relations and Neurobiology, when I feel these would benefit my client.
