Philosophy & Vision
Angie is a neurodivergent-affirming therapist and clinical supervisor who offers a creative, inclusive space for both clients and professionals. With a quirky, approachable style, Angie combines talk therapies and creative approaches like play therapy, sand tray, and expressive arts, ensuring sessions are dynamic and tailored to individual needs.
She provides clinical SuperVision for social workers, including those seeking mental health accreditation, play therapists, and allied health professionals, helping them integrate creative, neurodivergent-affirming, and trauma-transformative practices into their work, while maintaining a space of authenticity, growth, and collaboration.
Background
Angie began her journey as a youth worker in the homelessness sector, igniting her passion for seeking justice. She graduated with honours in Social Work in 1996, later earning Mental Health Accreditation through her clinical leadership in youth mental health in Victoria and New South Wales.
With over 30 years of experience, Angie has skillfully guided children in foster care and those recovering from trauma, led youth mental health initiatives, and supported communities impacted by disaster. She has worked extensively with LGBTIQAP+ communities and trans/gender diverse children, young people and adults.
Today, Angie is dedicated to fostering a safe space for self-discovery, helping people unmask, and celebrating their individuality.
Services
Individual Therapy: Supporting young people and adults who may be exploring their neurodivergent identity, unmasking their true selves, enhancing self-acceptance and a sense of 'feistiness" in the face of societal expectations.
Assessments: Providing comprehensive assessments for Autistic individuals and those with ADHD, with a focus on understanding their unique strengths and challenges.
Clinical SuperVision: Offering SuperVision for social workers, play therapists, and allied health professionals, focusing on integrating neurodivergent-affirming and trauma-transformative practices into their work, and exploring ways for genuine self care that minimises compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma and burnout (including ND burnout).
Quality Provision
Angie's approach is rooted in both evidence-based practices and an understanding of intersectionality - how factors such as race, sex, gender, and neurotype intersect to influence people's lives.
As a university guest lecturer and supervisor, Angie stays at the forefront of the field, continually engaging in professional development and sharing her knowledge with upcoming practitioners.
