Philosophy & Vision
The underlying principle of how I work is strongly influenced by Existential philosophy. Existentialism breaks away from putting labels on a persons' life and works from the basis of being-present. I believe we are challenged to take personal responsibility for the choices we make in life. The past influences the present and the future poses hope, meaning and purpose. Existential philosophy approaches life holistically. In our work together 'expect change to happen'.
Background
Over 25 years experience working with individuals, couples and groups and counselling staff in organisations. I run workshops and training throughout the year and have been providing clinical supervision to individuals and groups for the last 20 years.
Services
I offer counselling and psychotherapy to Individuals, Couples and Groups. I specialise in group therapy where I also teach and train group therapists.
I am a Clinical Supervisor, Educator and Trainer. I hold workshops and training regularly throughout the year and I am One of the Directors of the Centre for Existential Practice in Sydney and I am on the faculty of The Jansen Newman Institute Sydney.
Quality Provision
I undertake supervision on a regular basis both individually and in group while attending ongoing professional development training and updates each year.
